REAL WORK. REAL NEED. REAL WORLD.
There are some things that will never change at ACS: our Christian worldview, our partnership with parents, and our commitment to provide a safe and welcoming place for students to learn. However, we understand that the way we educate must adapt as the world around us changes. We are living in a time of great technological innovation, where it is difficult to even imagine what the world might be like ten years from now.
Because students have an abundance of information available to them at any time, we believe our role is to teach them how to use that knowledge, how to problem solve and discern God’s truth. We need to educate in a way that unleashes our students’ creativity and critical thinking.
PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
At ACS, we want our students to have real-world experiences before they graduate. One tool we use to prepare our students is Project-Based Learning (PBL), a dynamic approach to teaching. Students have the opportunity to explore real-world problems and challenges. With this type of active and engaged learning, students are inspired to obtain a deeper knowledge of the subjects they’re studying.
Check out some of the examples of PBL in action at ACS:

WHAT STUDENTS NEED
In a complex and fast-changing world, students must have the capacity to EXPLORE, DISCOVER, ADAPT, CREATE, INNOVATE, and SOLVE the many opportunities and challenges we face. We want our children to be the leaders and innovators of tomorrow.
One of our greatest desires is that each ACS graduate is fully equipped to use their individual gifts to make a positive influence in God’s world.
HOW DO WE DO THAT?
EDUCATING THROUGH RELATIONSHIP
Our goal is to provide a personalized approach to academics with relevant, deeper learning. By educating through relationship, we develop each child as a whole person, nurturing their unique potential from the inside out.
CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW IN EVERYTHING
Our Christian worldview is integrated into every aspect of learning, from math and mechanics to art and history. We encourage curiosity, creativity, and collaboration as we develop and use our God-given gifts to meet real needs in our community, partnering with Christ in His work of restoration.
SUPPORTING ALL STUDENTS
Because each child is unique, ACS supports every student in their learning journey, whether by challenging them to go deeper in their learning or walking with them through life’s difficulties. We determine the success of our mission not by grades alone but by recognizing and celebrating each student’s academic growth, willingness to take risks, and depth of character. We do all this in a safe and welcoming environment so every child knows they are valued.
STAFF WHO ARE BOLD AND AUTHENTIC
Our educational staff are experts in their field, teaching with wisdom and intention while developing genuine relationships with each student. They are bold and authentic, innovative and gracious. Our teachers don’t shy away from difficult topics but rather passionately inspire students to think critically and deeply about all of life under the sovereignty of God.
PREPARING STUDENTS FOR THE REAL WORLD
Our graduates are prepared to embrace life’s challenges and opportunities after ACS. They have learned how to apply their knowledge with creativity and discernment. No matter where God leads them, they have both the courage and humility to live out their calling and shape the world in which they live as Christ-followers.
