We are excited to announce that we have hired Tracy Van Huizen to serve as our new Director of Advancement effective January 2024.
Tracy Van Huizen is a resident of Langley BC and has been long time parent of the Langley Christian School community, including a six-year stint on their board of directors as well as being employed by them earlier in her career (in their development office). Tracy and her husband Eric have five children (their youngest being in grade 12 at LCS) and three grandchildren. Tracy and Eric are members at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Langley and together they own a wholesale greenhouse operation – something she has helped to manage.
Tracy’s most recent professional experience was working in the development and donor relations department at Focus on the Family Canada.
Tracy feels that her professional experience as well as her experience in Christian schools as both an employee as well as a board member, has positioned her well to understand the complexities and challenges that Christian schools are facing as we continue to strive towards advancing our mission and vision.
As Tracy shared in her own words upon being hired, “Being a part of Christian Education and the community that it creates has been a huge blessing in my and my family’s life. I believe in the value of community to help people flourish, grow, find meaning, as well as a sense of belonging. I look forward to getting to know the ACS community along with its own unique story. I look forward to meeting all of you soon!”
