ACS offers students an opportunity to SHAPE GOD’S WORLD through the posture of service.
Jesus modeled for us what it looks like for his children to “take on the very nature of a servant” (Phil 2: 7) and then to “…go and do likewise” (John 13:14).
Through the Global Intercultural Studies course (GIS 12A and GIS 12B) and service modules offered in grades 8 and 12, students are encouraged to serve in their community. These opportunities give students an awareness of the different organizations that rely on volunteers to meet the needs of others in local, regional, and global communities. Through these service opportunities, our students’ lives are transformed as they learn the value of living, serving, and meeting the needs of others. As students reflect on their service opportunities at ACS, they recount stories of personal transformation and continued interest in pursuing service in various sectors of socioeconomic empowerment, ministry, and outreach.
