Wisdom Talks: It Takes A Village 2.0
It Takes A Village – back by popular demand!
Our second Wisdom Talks: It Takes a Village, will provide practical tips on executive functioning, often called the management system of the brain.
Join us for a panel discussion with ACS community members and special guest, Liz Ullrich, who will share their wisdom on parenting, faith formation, and academic growth. Because it really does take a village to raise kids in today’s world!
Panelists:
Sherry Drader: ACS Middle School Learning Support Services Coordinator, parent of ACS alumni and current parent
Marcel deRegt: Gateway CRC director of faith formation, parent of ACS alumni and secondary student
Danielle Fluit: Trainer of counsellors at TWU, family doctor, ACS parents of children at all three campuses
Special Guest:
Liz Ullrich: Liz has been working in education as an occupational therapist for over 30 years. As a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Instructor she has seen an ever-increasing shift in classroom behaviour. Her experience has led her to see a connection between stress, brain function, and learning. She provides training to schools across British Columbia as a Learning Leader for the Society of Christian Schools of BC, equipping educators with knowledge to support today’s students.
