All in for play!
Let’s make our historic elementary campus playground a little more EPIC – and a whole lot more inclusive! Play-based learning is a huge part of how young minds grow, and around here, we take fun very seriously. That’s why this year we’re raising funds to breathe new life into our playground with fresh play structures and improved accessibility.
While keeping some of our beloved historic features (don’t worry – the dome is staying put!), we’ve teamed up with ACS students to reimagine a space built for fun, creativity, and belonging.
What makes a good playground?
Last year, one of our grade 2 classes was given a special assignment: dream up the ideal playground for ACS Elementary. After researching and exploring parks across Abbotsford, we were blown away by how quickly they recognized the importance of inclusivity. Their imaginative vision inspired the real-life design of our new and improved playground.
Our new playground includes structures intended to provoke imaginative and inclusive fun. See sneak peeks below in The Playground Project Tracker as we reach fundraising milestones!
How you can help.
Over the next 6 weeks, our goal is to raise $125,000 towards The Playground Project. We’re inviting our community to join us, to go ALL IN, and spark new inspiration for our students through play.
Community begins on the playground, but it doesn’t stop there.

Drive to Revive
Our Drive to Revive project has been a three year journey of enhancing and refreshing our elementary campus to support a modern, 21st-century learning environment. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we have been able to complete many of the upgrades we set out to accomplish. This year, we are excited to bring Drive to Revive to a close with two final milestones: completion of The Playground Project and the installation of HVAC cooling.
