Wisdom Talks: Guiding Our Children in an AI World

Wisdom Talks: Guiding Our Children in an AI World

What on God’s green earth does AI mean for our children? Do we need to parent differently? How will it affect their education? Join us as we explore these big questions surrounding artificial intelligence and its growing impact on the lives of our children.

A diverse panel including educators, pastors, parents, and more, will share their insight and perspective through a Christian worldview. As AI increasingly influences how we live, learn, and connect, let’s come together to stay informed and be prepared to guide the next generation.

The event is FREE, but please let us know you plan to attend by RSVP’ing below.

Our panel members include:

Trent DeJong

Trent DeJong is a long-time secondary English teacher known for helping students think deeply about literature, culture, and the big questions of human meaning.  He loves conversations about a distinctly Christian approach to understanding stories and the world they come out of.

Marvin Bravo

Marvin is a therapist and a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC), and holds a Masters of Counselling Degree from Trinity Western University. He has over 15 years of experience working with children, youth, adults, and families in a variety of settings. Marvin’s love for people and his desire to see people succeed has greatly motivated him in his work.

Eric Heath

Eric Heath serves as pastor of Northview Community Church’s Central Abbotsford campus. After practicing law locally for ten years, he discerned a call to ministry, completing his M.Div. in 2024. He and his wife Andrea have four children across all three ACS schools. In his spare time, he enjoys running, golf, and donating his time as a local rec hockey goalie.

Tyler Frans

Tyler Frans is CEO of Sense & Motion (“Sam”) and a trusted voice in BC’s AI ecosystem. He founded Sam with a clear vision: to help organizations across the province move from AI curiosity to confident, practical adoption. He is driven by the belief that AI, when approached thoughtfully, can fundamentally improve how organizations operate and serve their communities.

Mike Riezebos

Mike is the principal of ACS Secondary. He daily navigates supporting teachers and students to make wise choices around the use of AI, engaging in dialogue with experts and taking part in courses to stay a step ahead. In his spare time, you can find him at the campground or exploring local breweries.

Koenraad Beugelink

Koenraad serves as the faith formation director at ACS. For the past six years, he’s created a welcoming environment for students through chapel and worship, Bible class, community activities, and the Nicaragua team. When he’s not spending time with his wife, Christine, and their five children, you’ll find Koenraad coaching the ACS boys soccer team or cheering on the Vancouver Whitecaps from the sidelines.

The event is finished.
