“Many Parts. One Body. Many Players. One Team.”
ACS has a long history of achievement in athletics, locally and provincially. Our goal is to use athletics to implement our vision: to engage the mind, nurture the heart, and shape God’s world. We do this with a broad and intentional athletic program integrating our competitive goals with our Christian worldview. Everyone has a role to play on a team. We teach our athletes how to play for a team, while teaching the connection of Romans 12 — Humble Service in the Body of Christ.

ACS Athletics
God created each human to praise and serve Him. The whole person is called to be an instrument of service to God and others. Through our athletic program, athletes learn character development, leadership skills, athletic skills, teamwork, humility, service, courage, responsibility, and cooperation. Our teams play hard, play smart, and play together.
We have found that this focus also leads to success in competition. The Knights have won provincial banners in basketball, volleyball, and track & field. They have captured multiple Fraser Valley Championships in basketball, cross country, golf, track & field, and volleyball, and each year win individual Provincial medals in track & field. Along with a competitive spirit, we have run our programs to be inclusive: 70% (2024/25) of the secondary school student body participates in extracurricular sports, and our grade 8-12 track & field team regularly has 70+ members.
Our athletes receive dedicated coaching from talented, enthusiastic, Christ-centred, and highly knowledgeable coaches. Our coaches are an integral part of our school sport system at ACS and provide opportunities for our student athletes to achieve their personal bests. Their time, energy, and expertise are very much appreciated and valued.
ACS KNIGHTS TEAMS
Volleyball
Volleyball is the longest-running sport here at ACS and has provided our teams with tremendous opportunities for success. The senior boys team highlights include Provincial ‘AA’ Champions 2018, Provincial ‘A’ Champions 2014, Provincial ‘AA’ Silver Medallists 2017, Provincial ‘A’ Silver Medallists 2015, Provincial ‘AA’ Silver Medallists 2024.
Our girls’ volleyball program has grown tremendously in numbers in recent years. The senior girls’ team were Provincial ‘AA’ Gold Medallists in 2024, making ACS history!
We offer volleyball from grade 5–12, focusing on progression from athlete development to a competitive secondary athletic program. Many of our graduates have played at the post-secondary level.

Basketball
Basketball has long been a cornerstone of athletic excellence at ACS. Our basketball teams have won four provincial titles; the boys won in 1989, 1991, and 2005, and the girls won in 2010. Our teams have qualified for numerous “A” and “AA” and junior provincial championships, and many of our graduates have gone on to play at the post-secondary level.
Soccer
Our soccer program offers both junior and senior boys teams, which have grown into a competitive force over the years, with a clear goal of reaching provincials. The girls’ teams focus on player development and skill formation, laying a strong foundation for future success. Keep an eye on these up-and-coming athletes as they aim for dynamic and exciting seasons ahead.

Golf
Our golf program at ACS is a coach-dependent sport we aim to offer yearly. In recent years, we’ve been working to rebuild the program, offering both junior and senior coed teams. The 2024-25 season marked a strong step forward, with our senior team earning an impressive second-place finish at the Eastern Valley Championship.
Track & Field
The Knights have built a reputation for fielding a strong and spirited team, consistently competing with heart against much larger schools. Over the years, the program has celebrated multiple Fraser Valley championships, Christian School titles, and a proud list of Provincial and BC Summer Games medallists. A standout moment came in 2019 when the team captured the Senior Girls and Boys Provincial A titles, and the overall combined championship—a true banner year. At the core of our success is a committed group of coaches and a team culture grounded in our belief: “Many Parts, One Body.”

Cross Country
This season runs in the fall, and all are welcome to participate in this program. We are famous for getting up early, training before school, racing hard, and taking fun road trips. Many athletes have gone on to run at the post-secondary level. The Knights are provincially recognized, as we qualify multiple teams for the BC provincials year after year. Highlights include: 2018 Junior Girls Provincial Silver Medalists, 2018 Junior Girls Fraser Valley Champions, and many Christian School Championship wins. More recently, our senior girls team won East Valleys in 2023, our junior boys team won East Valleys in 2024, and they then placed 6th at Provincials. We embrace this quote: “Running is a mental sport, and we’re all insane.”
Hockey
At ACS, boys’ hockey is offered as a recreational sport, bringing excitement and energy to a short but memorable season. Each year, students compete in one major tournament alongside other Fraser Valley Christian schools. This fun and spirited event welcomes players of all skill levels, creating a unique opportunity for team camaraderie and school pride. With its inclusive nature and lively competition, the hockey team remains a highly sought-after experience year after year.
