While she has thoroughly enjoyed her experience in kindergarten, she is excited about the challenge of an older grade. For next year, she will most likely be taking a grade 1 maternity leave, so not too big of a change in grade level. Cathy lives in Clayburn Village and so the idea of a 3 minute commute is very exciting for her. Welcome to ACS, Cathy!

Paul Still will be returning to the middle school as an itinerant teacher. We welcome Paul back into our ACS community!
Christine Boer has accepted the position of Drama Department Head and teacher for the coming school year. Debbie Goertzen has taken a kindergarten position at White Rock Christian Academy. We thank Debbie for her outstanding contributions to our Kindergarten program over the past eight years. She has been a strong team player, with her team and in the school community. Debbie accepted this position so that she and her husband Gerry, current secondary principal, can fully invest in one community. We pray God’s richest blessings as they prepare for this move and begin to enrich their new community.
Lori Hall has decided to retire at the end of this school year. She says it has been a pleasure to be here for the past 11 years and she will miss this community. The feeling is reciprocal. We wish Lori God’s richest blessings in the adventures God has in store for her in the years ahead.
Nancy Humphries will be retiring after 28 years at ACS. She has taught in a variety of primary classrooms but has been the familiar face in our kindergarten program for as long as most of us can remember. This entire community will certainly be sad to no longer see Nancy in our school and at so many school events. Nancy and her husband, Jim are planning to move to the Calgary area to be nearer to family.
