On November 6, it rained. A lot!<\/p>\n

Late that afternoon, the rain came down hard. The kind of rain that makes you glad to be under a sound roof\u2026until your son notices the basement d\u00e9cor (aka laundry basket) is floating at the bottom of the stairs.<\/p>\n

Soggy, Damp, and Beautiful<\/h2>\n

There we were\u2026processing soggy floors, damp boxes, and the reality of our downstairs flooding due to heavy rain, when something unexpected (and beautiful) happened.<\/p>\n

Before I could even fully wrap my head around the situation, a quick text message went out. Honestly, I think my thumbs moved faster than my brain. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Help! <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

And just like that\u2014within minutes\u2014<\/em>messages started coming back. Offers to help. Words of encouragement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re on our way.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat do you need?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

I barely had time to panic. Because our people showed up.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

ACS In Action<\/h2>\n

For Gary, Ren, and me, this is what it means to be part of ACS. Not just a place, or a name, or a mission statement on a wall\u2014but a living, breathing community. People who acted when asked. People who jumped in when life gets messy (sometimes literally). People who showed Christ\u2019s love not just in words, but in action.<\/p>\n

We say we are authentic, intentional, and we use our God-given gifts to do real work in our community. On November 6, this happened with tools, towels, and boots<\/strong><\/span>. It showed up in prayer, laughter amidst the chaos, and reassurance when we felt overwhelmed (three months later, and it still feels overwhelming!).<\/p>\n

This is what we love so deeply about being part of the ACS community\u2014 that sense of being part of a village rooted in Christ. A place where we look out for one another. Where, when you dare to ask, challenges aren\u2019t carried alone. Where relationships matter more than convenience, and faith is lived out in everyday moments.<\/p>\n

That night, our flooded basement became something unexpected:<\/p>\n
