ABBOTSFORD, B.C. – September 27, 2021 – In collaboration with Fraser Health and the Federation of Independent Schools Association (FISA) Rapid Response Team, Abbotsford Christian School (ACS) has decided to close in-class instruction for grades K-6 beginning Tuesday, September 28 until Friday, October 1. Instead of in-class instruction, students will move to “Connected Learning,” ACS’ remote learning program.

“This decision was not made lightly,” says Julius Siebenga, Executive Director, “but was made in response to a number of COVID-19 cases and close contacts across these grade levels. We (along with Fraser Health and the FISA Rapid Response Team) believe that this closure will help to break the circuit of the virus that is moving through our school community.”

In an email to parents, Siebenga asked parents to adhere to the guidance of Public Health Officers and to be diligent about the Daily Health Check.

Abbotsford Christian School is located in Abbotsford, B.C., with three campuses for 1250 students between preschool and grade 12.
