Abbotsford Christian School is excited to announce that starting January 2022, we will be able to partner with families in a new way. We are grateful to have been selected as one of two independent schools in the province of British Columbia to pilot “The Seamless Day” childcare program. With the support of a government grant, we have the opportunity to pilot a program where we can begin to provide before and after school childcare for current ACS families.
We value partnering with families. Providing a program where school-aged children have access to a quality before-and-after-school childcare with shared beliefs and a shared mission, vision, and identity as Abbotsford Christian School is yet another way of partnering with you. The Seamless Day program provides continuous care and support for children from the early morning, throughout the school day, and into the afternoon.
As stated in the October 18 press release from the BC Government, “The Seamless Day Kindergarten pilot program will employ certified early childhood educators to provide before-and-after-school care in kindergarten classrooms and to support learning alongside the classroom teacher. The program makes use of existing classrooms, outside of school hours, and does not require new rooms or buildings.”
For the 2021-2022 school year, the Seamless Day Pilot Program will be offered for students in kindergarten.
